I just got off the phone with Chase about that 5k match for having an AU, and I got denied by the investigation department (or whatever the rep called it) because they said that I had signed up for the Saph at the end off September, and they were honoring it as long as it was 90 days from opening the card (even if the promo started on November 18). Well, I pursued 2 weeks ago for the 5k as I just found out about it. She said that the verdict was made, and there is no way of fighting for it. Should I HUCA or go straight to corporate? Do I have a solid enough case to fight for it? TIA
Well, after 4 calls and 3 SMs this is what I got (every single call rep and SM said that I requested too late):
Thank you for contacting Chase about your Sapphire
Preferred rewards account.
We apologize for the delay in responding.
As we have previously explained, our records indicate that
you applied for and received an enrollment bonus of 40,000
reward points. We have no record of you applying for an
enrollment bonus of 5,000 reward points for adding an
authorized user to the account. We do try to match
enrollment bonus offers that a customer may see for the
same reward program. However, the customer must contact us
within 90 days of the account open date. Since your
account was opened in September of 2013, we are unable to
match your account to a different enrollment bonus offer
that you may have seen.
If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.
Thank you,

I've tried it all! Should I go straight to corporate or just throw in the towel? Any advice is appreciated.
