Did plenty of $504.95 purchases at the same 7eleven this past month. This branch is clearly a service station as I got 5x on freedom. However it didnt get me 2x points on my sapphire. Do I sm them to get the 2x points added or leave it as is not to raise any eyebrows for 5 purchases of 504.95 ?

Does Primary Rental Car CDW Insurance cover only primary cardholder on Chase account or will it cover authorized user as well that's signed up on reservation?

Does it make a difference if primary or secondary driver on reservation?

Primary account holder would be in agreement as well if it makes a difference. Thanks

The CC insurance covers you and any "authorized driver" who is on the reservation even if the authorized driver is not an AU on the CC account.
+ It covers you and "any AU"
So in this case, you'll be covered for 2 reasons  :)

they are phasing out the 2x points at end of 2015  :'(. also they have some language there re transferring UR rewards/miles to other people, or churning being express reasons for chase to cancel the card and take away all points. not sure that was in there before. https://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?pg_name=ccpmapp/shared/marketing/page/ultimate-rewards-sapphire-preferred-vs-annoucement&jp_cmp=cc/94049/ema/EM03610/Body_image_1
also, per new guide:
https://www.chase.com/ccpmweb/shared/document/sapphire_preferred_english_programrules.pdf
"Your points don’t expire as long as your account is open,
however, you’ll lose all your points if:

we believe that you’ve misused the program in any way,
for example:
- by buying or selling points
- by moving or transferring points with or to an
ineligible third party or account
- by repeatedly opening or otherwise maintaining
credit card accounts for the sole purpose of
generating rewards"

Where did you see that??

ETA: I suppose you're mistaken the 7% with the 2X.

I've never understood why they let you guys churn through these cards like you do, especially for cards with a waived first year fee. Why don't all cards just take the Amex approach and say one reward bonus per lifetime or at least for some extended period like 24 months or something like that.

I understand that a credit card bank earns a fee per transaction so I don't think they're necessarily losing money on churners but they're also not making much money either. And the churners also probably cost a lot in customer service man power.

Not every churner is diligent and could possibly get stuck with high interest payments. Additionally, churners are only a very small percentage of overall CC users.

Pretty sure that's always been there.
If you don't care why would you comment?

Do you close first? How long do you wait between closing and opening or opening and opening.
Do you do a MBM as well or single card?
