so traditionally will it really take 2 billing cycles for it to post? if the statement closed on the 5th of august with over $3,000 spent when should i realistically expect to see it there?

I don't think they give credit for VRBO or such services as not all travel is coded as travel (in T&C it says travel does not included renting places from owners).

not worth keeping....
Depends how much you spent on the card, though in most cases you're right.
There were reports that you can get the AF refunded up 180 days.

I thought the "7% annual points dividend" was no longer for new accounts, I just opened my SP last week.

Honestly who cares. If you churn cards today you open it and tomorrow you close it.... It's only an extra 3k. Don't sweat on it take an ink and buy 1k GC and liquidate it and you've made 5k UR

I don't just open and close. I spend enough to be worth it to keep them open year round without cheating them and closing them

Thank you for contacting Chase about not earning two
points per $1 on dining transactions.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.
I certainly understand that the merchants are dining
establishments. As we previously stated, the merchants
are assigned a specific merchant code which is determined
based on the kinds of products and services they merchant
primaraly sells. Chase has no control how the merchant is
coded and is unable to change the merchants code. I
sincerely regret that we are unable to add the additional
points to your account for these purchases.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

My statement closed on Aug 6th with $3000 spend and 3 days later I saw the bonus miles posted. I was really surprised.
