they sent me a message that they see i got extra points and will be adjusting it within 3-4 days. we will see if they can take back the points that have been transferred out

Was wondering yesterday if transferring is an advantage if they realize there is a mistake. Are they able to transfer back or will it be worse and they will charge you. When everyone was saying to transfer was that to make it not possible to pull back what they gave , does it work that way?

unclear but i dont think they can charge u u never authorized it they gave u the points it was their mistake they cant then charge u for them

Once you transfer them it becomes harder for Chase to get them back but they can do so if they really want to.

Not true.  They don't pull back signup bonus miles-bad reps just threaten that sometimes to get you to stay.

However if you buy something, get the miles, and return it, Chase will be all to happy to pull back the miles, they definitely are able to.
