AFAIK it's only Amex that allows checking app status online.

So after all the declines last night, I thought maybe they weren't
matching the 100k offer but might still match the 80k offer.
So I sm'ed them about an hour ago and got a response immediately
that it was a targeted offer and they won't match it. Anybody have
an idea how we can get chase to restart matching.

If Dan posts it on the main sight that chase is no longer honoring this
match, do you think it will make a difference?

Damn, referred on the app. Despite my sister getting instant approval with a 698 Experian Fako which they pulled and me having a 791 Equifax FICO which they pulled. It seems they only give these instant approvals on people that have no history with Chase as I, my friend and sister were all instantly approved with our first chase apps. App status told me to wait 2 weeks.

Anyone know if I downgrade my sapphire preferred to a regular sapphire at the end of the year to avoid the annual fee, would it remain the same account as the preferred? Because I'm thinking of using this card to purchase a laptop and I want to have the extended warranty so I need to keep the card open in order to still have the warranty valid

But rest assured, if you were really destined to earn a extra $500-600 this year, then even though Chase may have changed their policy now, and you can't get these points, you will still find a way to make the extra $500-600 before the year is over

I just called recon without a reference number, they couldn't use the appid in the html response page, but used my social and the credit analyst (may have been risk dept) asked some questions about loan amounts, etc, fraud stuff. Put me on hold, blah, you will recieve some info in 7 to 14 days "and it usually takes 2 days for the system to finalize the decision"  >REJECTED<   Just when i thought I could get a decision now and put another app in for CO debit business b4 24 hours is up. They'd probably do a second inq anyway. A third card within 6 weeks maybe out of my range. But I'm AmericaN! Stand in line!

I had sent chase an email about referring someone for the deal after I received the 100k and this is the response:

Dear ,

I am writing in response to your inquiry about the
referral promotion offer for Chase Sapphire Preferred
card.

Unfortunately, there is no referral for the Sapphire
Preferred card as this is an exclusive offer that we are
extending only to a selected population of customers.

As you are one of our valuable customer, we added those
extra bonus points to your account. However, we would like
to inform you that this offer cannot be extended for as
the promotion of 100,000 points is limited only for
certain customers.
