1.6 is not bad at all, but after 09/30 I have a hunch they may go up in value.
YMMV.

but im worried they might snatch them away if we wait till 9/30?

That's when AMEX points stop transferring to CO and when Sapphire points will be the sole way of transferring points tosomeone's CO account.

I'd be shocked if they took away the 100k.  YMMV of course though.

This was what I wrote and what they responded with. Do you think Chase will still honor their word? This was submitted on Monday by the way.

Dear atlas310,

I would first like to take this opportunity to personally
thank you for choosing Chase to handle your account ending
in xxxx.

I would like to inform you that as per the offer on your
account, you will receive 50,000 Chase Sapphire bonus
points after spending $3,000.00 in purchases within 93
days of account open date. These points will post to your
account within one to two billing cycles.

However, I feel that every relationship is based on mutual
trust and support, including one between a bank and a
customer. I would like to inform you that, once you have
spend $3000.00 within the first 93 days, you will need to
re-sumbit your request for the additional 50,000 points,
however, make sure that it is within the first 93 days and
we will be happy to have the additional 50,000 points
added to your account.

Your satisfaction and your business is greatly
appreciated, and we look forward to your continued
participation in our credit card program. If you have any
further questions, please reply using the Secure Message
Center.

Thank you,

Good Morning,

I just signed up for the Sapphire Preferred with a bonus
offer of 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points if I spend $3,000
in three months. A friend of mine just got approved for an
offer of 100,000 points if he just spent $500 in the first
three months. I m a bit disappointed that I signed up
under the 50,000 offer when there is a 100,000 offer
available as well. Would it be possible to be upgraded to
the 100,000 offer? I greatly appreciate your
consideration. Thank you.

FYI, It seems chase is no longer giving out the extra 50k points.   No one on any of the forums I read have been successful in the past few days.
Perfection is my goal, excellence will be tolerated.

I do not buy miles. I was just noting the highest advertised rate that I've seen for saphire points.

Anyone know if Sapphire preferred points ever have bonuses for transferring like MR points or SPG?
Is there any benefit to waiting to transfer if I know where I want to transfer to?

Unbelievable, but after NINE messages sent to
chase regarding them promising me the 50000
points but then not crediting them, they finally
came through. 4 days passed after my last
email, so I figured they were done even talking
to me about it after so many denials. But today
received a message that said they are happy to
give me the points now and they were showing
in my account. I had given up hope. Happy
ending.

So does that mean that co miles will be worth more as well? Should I hold off on selling my co miles? Tganx
