Citi payment question

The question here is if I'm right to begin with. I guess that depends on the CC regulations, and that's exactly why I called them but got mixed messages, hence the rep. note.

I made a payment to my Citi card while some charges were still pending for the full balance including the pending charges. I just checked and the $1007.90  charge posted, but the payment only showed for the full amount less $1007.90. So now I have a balance of $1007.90, will the remainder of my payment automatically kick in? Or do I make another payment? BTW I had to pay by phone, as apparently Citi only allows you to pay the statement balance online, and since I haven't closed out my first statement yet there was none.

Make  sure you actually paid the 1007.90.

I tried to make a payment this morning for my balance plus pending charges and was told by csr that I couldn't pay pending charges.  The most she would let me let me pay was 7%  more than my current balance.

I mailed a check to citi about a week and a half ago, and it still hasn't posted to the account.
How long does it take for them to get the check/post the payment?

Check should post the next business day after they receive it. They might put a hold and not release your CL but the balance should be correct.

I never paid by phone but this does not sound right. The full payment should be credited and if it is for more than the current balance you should have a credit balance.

It also seems interesting that they took only part of what you requested/authorized. Usually its all or nothing.
