Not even close it was given to my wife from work almost 3 yrs ago.It was under apple warranty but it had "water damage" so they didn't cover it.

I got my macbook repaired- I spent 450$ got all new parts. It worked for abt a day and then stopped working, we went back to apple store (abt 20 min drive to closest one) and they said "oh that beeping sound means the harddrive isn't connected well" so they fixed it and it worked again. Hooray. Problem is it worked for abt 2 weeks and now doesn't work again. Do I fight the charge on amex? Go back to apple and demand a new laptop? Or anything else?? What would u guys do?
My experience is that the continuous beeps on macbook means ram is defective. Try replacing
can you explain what parts were replaced?

lol! I take it your not an Apple hippie? But in all seriousness i would first call the apple store and then take it back and demand a replacement. Once with an ipod I hocked them so much that the manager just gave me a refurbed one that worked fine

The end result was they claim they didn't find anything wrong with it- when I went to pick it up, I used one of the macbooks there to login to my amex acct and deny that charge :-)As far as laptop goes, hoping it doesn't go into shock again
I have NO CLUE what's wrong that is what's so frustrating- I know it is going to happen again but apple said there is nothing wrong.Grrrrrrrrrrrr
