Twice- first time we brought it in the guy said yeah that means the "" is not in properly let me go put it in, he went and did that and it worked.
Brought it home and abt 1 week later started up again, and that was when I posted what would u do.

But otherwise no problems? This seems really weird...

The problem with the beeping thinkg is that the laptop doesn't turn on, so I have no idea if there are any other issues-
But +100 on the weird aspect

What you still haven't clarified is if the problem is consistent or intermittent. Since you've had the $450 fix at the Apple store, how many times have you tried to power up the computer and how many times did you experience the problem?

Since I paid it happened twice, each time it happens it lasted till we brought it to apple- I tried turning on the laptop maybe once a day to see if anything changed but no luck-
Meaning: I got the laptop back that night the beeping started, couldn't turn laptop on, tried every day for abt 2 weeks no change, brought back to apple, got it back and then same thing happened.

Btw in all serousness you can google this problem, it seems like it is a big apple issue

So I don't understand how you let the Apple "Genius" convince you that there's nothing wrong with it.

I had a intermittent beeping problem.
The problem was RAM that was a little bit loose.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I think (or at least hope) the "Geniuses" at Apple would've figured out loose RAM. in the OP's situation it's either bad RAM, bad RAM slots, or motherboard issues. If the OP could specify what they replaced for $450, there's higher likelihood we can determine what's wrong with his system.

Basically, if (for example) they replaced your RAM, then it's fair to assume it isn't your RAM.

They def replaced the ram- they claim the beeping means the ram isn't in place properly- however, after the first time I went I would have guessed that the "geniuses" (sorry ashero for stealing your line) would have re installed it propely- but they didn't which is why I am starting to get frustrated by them

Well, shouldn't they then install it properly?

Don't you love Apple, they charged you $450 for replacing 4GB RAM?

I don't call them Geniuses, Apple does. I put it in quotes to express my opinion: Their Geniuses are not even remotely genius.

First of all: they charged 475
Second, they replaced more then just the ram
Third: I know why you put the quotations which is why I said I am sorry for stealing your joke/opinion

I don't know how the Macbooks are setup on the inside, but something here is majorly wrong considering they replaced every major component (motherboard/HDD/RAM etc).

Does anyone here know if the processor is soldered to the motherboard in these systems?
