Probably yes. There's a very slight chance it'll trigger an F/R, but I don't recall any such reports here and I doubt they'd even pick up on it if you're paying with a BA card (read: non-Amex).

Excited? I don't think you have anything to worry about at the Case end, so long as $2,000 is within your credit limit.

+1. If you're going to ask here, don't bother calling, and vice versa. We get very offended

But seriously, in many instances (and I don't think this one counts), calling (or otherwise tipping the company off) can kill a deal.

I don't know what it is that is triggering the cancelation, but I know of close to 50,000$ worth of amex gc cancelled (50 * 1000$)
Bought with amex plat and bought within the past 2 months or so

We're talking about an isolated purchase of $2,000 with Chase. I think he's safe in that regard. Besides, the worst that'll happen is the OP will have to find another way to run a $2,000 charge.

Make sure card security code and billing address match. You can also call Chase and ask if anything was recently declined and why. Even if the $2,000 purchase wouldn't (officially) count towards the spending bonus, they should honor it if your credit line has the $2k available.

Now i got email from Amex ...
"Your order was not fulfilled for the following reasons: Your order exceeded purchaser limits either by quantity, dollar value, or both for the allowed time period"

!!!!
Also i only ordered a $1000 gift card with my platinum a month ago

I purchased one $2000 AMEX GC and one $500 GC with my BA card to meet the $2500 requirement. I did it for mine and my wife's card. Had no problem putting the order through (Chase called me up on my card just to verify that I put the order through). I paid off both cards right away,  now I need to wait to see if the miles post.

Do you have any idea how long it takes? Will I have enough time to cancel before I get charged the yearly fee?
