I think that's looked at by the new accounts department. Unless someone at Amex decides to audit all these accounts to verify status as MBA majors at Columbia, you'll be fine. If they audit them you'll be in trouble anyway, as you'll have a hard time proving that if you aren't enrolled in Columbia's MBA program.

You need to clear cookies (and maybe other browser history). You can try opening a browser you don't use and clearing all the data, then the link should work.

Why not just use the regular link and go for the 5748 match?

1) I was looking at the gold card with the 2 years free.
1) its not for me...someone i told about this came here looking and said it didnt work.
2) Who knows when they may stop honoring that.

That's a lot of first points

-There is a separate thread for the gold card offer.
-Who knows if they will go after the folks who applied through the Columbia link? I think the 5748 match points are safer than those who go through this link. Though probably it won't be an issue unless there are a lot of folks who use the Columbia links and AMEX does an audit.

Valid points

The app itself says nothing about columbia and i cant imagine they would do an audit. But as they say YMMV. The 2 years free is a nice perk though...
