Yeshivas in Israel

My main 2 choices are shaalvim and hakotel. I got accepted to both yeshivas and have to make a choice sooner than later. Can anyone tell me what their experience at these places were like and why they would recommend one place over another place?

did you ask your rebbeim and speak to former/current students?
