I need a new passport and i see the option to get an expanded for no charge. So why not? You cant add pages for free anymore once its issued.

My thinking is that i dont really need it since i mostly travel to tlv and they dont stamp and neither does the US if you use global entry. So my passport is pretty empty.

I am guessing it must be bulkier so why bother.
What did you do at the end

I've used A Briggs for expedited processing before. Both to add books, and for renewals.

A little spendy, but easy and fast

I think the $20 was the library's fee.  The passport fees are in addition.

Do I need to have 6 months left on my passport when traveling to Europe?
It seems like from most places online, that 3 month from the date of departure of the visiting country is enough. However then I came across this https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Austria.html which states "Six months beyond planned date of departure from the Schengen area".
Does anyone here have any experience?
Thank you
I have a Canadian passport in case that makes a difference.

Generally can. Bring another piece of ID or birth certificate if possible.

Yes. Can use any Real ID domestically (for now any photo ID). Kids don't need any ID.
