From past experience, if you plan to Stay in the general Miami area, it's going to be a lot cheaper to take an uber everywhere. Considering standard rental prices, hotel and street parking, (and gas).

Rental depends on what time of year. Generally, Miami is pretty cheap to rent but parking is really annoying...

Very well could be. I just know Uber is that much cheaper than ny and cheap to get around with.

Going there in two weeks. Probably going to use a ride 2-3 times a day

I went last year and got a pretty cheap car rental. I definitely needed it, but yes parking at hotels was expensive

+1. I would say three people asked me this question in the last week.  If you have a baby then i would definitely take a car since you have carriage, car seat or packages that need to be shlepped out of the car.  Otherwise i would take uber

I stayed on Collins and parked in a public lot next door. Parking came out pretty cheap for me. It depends on your hotel's location.

This. If you don't have to pay for a hotel's parking, then a car is really cheap to rent there ime. And you have the freedom to drive as far as Boca etc.

You can always rent a car for the day too in mid beach.

I'm staying in a hotel around 11th st and Collins. 2 adults, no kids
