Gary has a post about funding new bank accounts with a credit card, for up to $10, 000.
The particular credit union that he refers to requires the applicant "to accept the statement that you’re a Catholic to open the account".
I am not about to sell my soul for a bunch of miles, and not suggesting that anyone else here should either - HelpMe excepted.
[In fact, it is clearly
paskened in Y.D. that one may not misstate his religion purely to avoid the Jew-tax of the olden times; this case would be no different.]
However, Gary does strongly imply that there are other similar offers out there, but he is not sharing them, because: "I don’t generally write about small credit unions that allow funding via credit card because those small banks will notice the increased volume, it’s a real cost to them, and I genuinely expect exposure of the opportunity to lead to a change in policy pretty quickly."
Does anyone know which banks he is referring too?
Just curious, ya know!
