Tracking emails/email addresses

I'm looking for information if its possible to send an email without the receiver being able to track it.

From the quick research I've done, it seems that emails sent from gmail don't have the origin IP address and therefore cannot be tracked. Is that correct?

Is it possible to see the IP address of where a gmail account was created with only the email address?

There are sites where you can send anonymous emails, will that help? not familiar with any though.

If using an email from a different location (such as an internet cafe) the receiver would not be able to trace your location based on this one email.

For total secrecy, you want to use hushmail.
Using an email @hushmail.com is already fishy on itself though.

I just sent from my gmail (via gmail.com) to my Yahoo and my Yahoo didn't show my IP address in the email's headers, it only showed a Yahoo address and a Google address:

Some can still  they can subpoena  Google for the IP records and if you logged in to your personal account without clearing the coookies.
