Is there any chance of this being overturned? Commerce clause? Anything?

Still has to get past the House and Biden has to sign it. If you want to stop it, they in the phone with your congressperson.

I guess it's time to start planning communities in PR. No DST and potential tax haven for certain types of income.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

If it is dark when going to school what about starting school later?

As far prayers that is a non-issue as you can't satisfy all religions and should not try.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

And have kids come home later? And then go to bed later and wake up later?

Which puts us right back to square one.

Kindly enlighten us as to what you are referring to?

FWIW, I believe that in Russia (in the past) people would go to work before Davening and break for Davening. IINM that might also be the practice of some farmers.

They get the same amount of sleep, no? Isn't the important part the amount of sleep and not if they go to bed at 8 or 9?

If schools start an hour later then work starts an hour later. If everyone's schedule just shifts by an hour and 9 is the new 8 then the whole thing is pointless.

So if everyone is changing their schedule then what the hell is the point of all this?!

I never said there is a point to it or even if I agree.
I was pointing out the school reason is not a good argument.
When I was in HS some days we started 8-8:15 and some days at 9-9:15. It was called late start days. My dad didn't change his work schedule.

Makes sense for high school but not for an 8 year old.

I am not following why at any age they can't start an hour later or earlier.

Who's watching them when both parents are at work (rare in your generation)?

The same people when they started at 8 instead of 9.
Do both parents (most of the time) work in the Jewish community? If so I got the wrong impression.
