Whatsapp voice transcripts are finally a feature! It needs to be turned on.

At first glance. It's a little clunky. The way to activate the transcription is in the top right of the screen, which is far away from the actual voice note. I'm sure they'll clean that up at some point. The transcription quality is maybe 60% there. It's missing details, but hopefully this will improve.

Looks like a lot more languages are supported on iOS than Android. Hebrew is supported on iOS 17+, But not on Android at all.

Just saw it too today. Agreed cumbersome to do.
It should automatically be done if you opt in and searchable (I didn't test out of it's searchable).

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that displays the number of group chat participants who are currently online. This online counter appears at the top of group chats, providing a quick view of active members.

is there a way to link a device to an existing WhatsApp account if the two devices are in separate locations?

i am traveling and (foolishly) did not take my phone that is logged into WhatsApp as the primary device. i was logged in but got disconnected and i am now trying to get back in.

on WhatsApp web it allows me to link with a code but that option is not available on cell phones.

i attempted to scan the QR code by sending an image and via video call but both seem not to work.

was wondering if anyone has a better understanding of how it works or any experience/advice with this?
