WhatsApp is stopping support for all Symbian, Nokia S40, BlackBerry phones. Phones running older versions of Windows, Android and iOS operating systems will also not be supported.

Android users still on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 are no longer be able to use WhatsApp.

UPDATE: You won't be able to use WhatsApp on the following platforms for:

Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017

Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018
Android versions 2.3.7 and older after February 1, 2020

Wierd but same thing happened to me last week. I woke up and all my conversations were gone. Didn't tty to recover them though, nothing too important

Cant understand why they don't let you backup daily to an SD card by default instead of the internal storage.

Anyone have issues with vid uploads?

Downscaled my Oneplus videos to 720p from 1080 and still getting a green bar on the right side of upload playback with colors all being shifted. This does not occur in my original video - only whatsapp upload.

Anyway on an Iphone to search within a group? I know you can search in Whatsapp cross-groups but would much prefer searching within a given group.

Only way to do it AFAIK is to email yourself the chat history and use gmail to search.

My iPhone WhatsApp history is currently several gigabytes in size, with several hundred thousand messages and media. :o I really want to clear everything and start over, since it's affecting my phone's performance tremendously, but I don't want to lose 2+ years of conversation and group history. I'm looking for a "comprehensive" backup solution (for iPhone) - i.e. one that will allow me to back up all my conversations to PC, exactly the way they look on the phone, with all media and voice notes embedded in the conversation.

When I email conversations to myself, for example, not all media ends up being included in the email, the conversation itself is a separate text file and the images are not embedded, etc. - I want something that will reproduce the entire conversation on my PC, the way it looks on my phone. The closest I found seems to be CopyTrans Contacts, as you can see from sample screenshot from their site:





However, I can't seem to get my phone to work properly with it (it keeps freezing/crashing), and also, it looks like they leave voice notes out completely.

So... anybody have any better ideas?

Thanks, but... it doesn't "export" conversations with the media in place. More importantly, it has a fatal flaw: in group chats, it doesn't say the name or number of who posted which message. Group chats look like a regular two-person chat with all of your messages on the right, and everyone else's on the left - but no way to determine who wrote what on the left side. Looks like all the messages are from the same person. :(

Back to the drawing board... any other suggestions?
