On the YouTube video there's a share button it will give you the option for WhatsApp as long as you're on mobile
Or just copy and paste the link
Youtube blocked on recipients phone so link won't help . I get actual videos on Whatsapp all the time that were clearly taken from YouTube. How is that done?

I use the bookmarklet. They also have a website where you can input a url, or you can type pwn before youtube.com in the url. It looks like they changed the name at some point.

+1 for TubeMate. Very fast download speeds, lots of options for quality, and allows you to choose storage location. I like the ability to download audio only.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

It's outdated and ugly. For Android use either:

snaptube

Or videoder beta if you are only downloading from YouTube.

Both are nicer and more fluid in my experience.

On desktop nothing beats deturl/pwnyoutube for simplicity, but you can find browser extensions that integrates into the actual site. (Sorry can't recommend any)

ok, I'll stick to deturl. (No need for an extension as I don't do this so often.)

Thanks

I was not sure either, so I did a quick n' dirty speed test between tubemate & snaptube.

Downloaded the same 5:00 clip in 720p HD (61mb) over my WiFi.

Tubemate took 4:20, with speeds ranging from 0-7 Mbps.
Snaptube took 1:36, with speeds ranging from 1-13 Mbps.

Snaptube is still gets updated often as well.

Try both and see what works for you.
