It's meant to be used in the computers browser, and scan the barcode with Whatsapp app on the phone. It seems that you are trying to use it with the browser of the phone, not sure if there's a way for that to work.

I've never tried it, but technically if you open whatsapp web as desktop page you should get the QR code.
Print it out and then scan it in the whatsapp app....

Or just use a regular pc 💻 lol

If you get the QR code to be displayed and can somehow scan it, I don't see why it shouldn't work... But could be they are a few steps ahead of us

It is "meant" to be used on PC, and initially it even only supported specific versions of specific desktop browsers. But I'm not sure it won't actually work with a phone browser. Maybe try a printout which will be clearer.

BTW, have you tried installing the Android version of Whatsapp? On the Classic you can install/sideload Android apps.

Tried using my phone with the what's app Web barcode displayed in my browser while on desktop mode and used an S7 to scan it and had no luck picking up the barcode! Will try it the other way around with me scanning the barcode from the s7.

You have to scan the QR Code using whatsapp (go to menu, whatsapp web,  click the + button to open the scanner)

Tried using my BlackBerry classic as the pc with the barcode displaying and scanning it with the S7 which is near me but can't pick up the QR code.

I have this 3rd party app to download other apps like 7-11 and alike but didnt do that for what's app, whats app was downloaded from BlackBerry world, should it make a difference where I download it from?

This is the 3rd party application as you can see in the screen shot (called aptoide). (talking about this my 7-11 app just stopped updating so I tried updating it and now I have nothing working.

Barcode seems pretty clear to me.

You have to get the QR code onto a different phone or print out, and then scan it using whatsapp on your phone.

That's exactly what I did I sent the barcode as a screenshot to an s7 which I tried scanning and had no luck!

I'm not familiar with Aptoide, but the Amazon App Store is a good source. Of course it would make a difference from where you're downloading it since the one you have from the BB World is being discontinued, while all these other app stores give you "Android" apps and they are not discontinued. (though I haven't tried the Android Whatsapp if it works flawlessly on BB 10.

ETA: I found several people writing that the Android Whatsapp does indeed work without a hiccup in BB10, one here http://utbblogs.com/whatsapp-isnt-going-anywhere/
