WhatsApp is stopping support for all Symbian, Nokia S40, BlackBerry phones. Phones running older versions of Windows, Android and iOS operating systems will also not be supported.

Android users still on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 are no longer be able to use WhatsApp.

Windows phone users will have to upgrade beyond Windows Phone 7.1 to continue enjoying services. iOS 6 are not be supported, which  affects those Apple users who are holding back from updating the OS.

UPDATE: You won't be able to use WhatsApp on the following platforms for:

Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017
BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 after December 31, 2017
Windows Phone 8.0 and older after December 31, 2017
Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018
Android versions 2.3.7 and older after February 1, 2020

I doubt that's true even If i sideload It with an application called snap to be able to download it directly from Google play store I don't see how it's going to change the look and features an app which has the same app on BlackBerry world! But I never tried so you may be correct.

From the article I read seems like your correct. I will try to do that and see what happens, That will really be amazing if my whatsapp will still work.(the main way of getting in contact with ppl.)

It is not the same app, no relation between them! The one from BB World is meant for BB and will be discontinued, while the one you can sideload is a total Android app which works in BB10 too. It is installed difrently and works difrently.

You can even install it straight with the APK (this is the Android app package) which you can download from WhatsApp's own site. Here's how to do it https://help.blackberry.com/en/blackberry-classic/10.3.1/help/amc1404138561499.html and here is the file https://www.cdn.whatsapp.net/android/2.16.366/WhatsApp.apk

Assuming it will work, the app will be super slow like all my 3rd party apps, Oh well.

I was successful in downloading the app and it still has great speed, but still can't send videos (I can receive but can't send, pics there is no problem only videos is doesn't work) very annoying!

;) thanks! Not sure how that Barcode works so didn't care to post it, but now that you told me I pulled it back! (btw the barcode changes every few seconds on a real computer screen, wonder if a still image of a barcode works?

Yisroel Tech tried to help me with my what's app regarding the videos didn't really get a fix for the problem , I could receive but can't send any videos makes no difference what the size video is, would you know of a solution? 

I deleted my BlackBerry world version and downloaded the version yisroel tech gave me to download(android version).
