I haven't gone through the app store to see what's the best app possible...but as many more ppl have begun to sign up for Telegram, I can't wait for the day that it becomes the default message app.

Before that happens WhatsApp will have copied the few features from Telegram that it's missing.

What does everyone think of using Signal as your messaging app?

Many features can be copied easily ( file limit 1.5 GB, secret chat, super bots, etc ) just like they copied until now.

But saving all you your messages on a server? I highly doubt it. And that would fix the biggest issue that ppl have with WhatsApp... Phone space and the transfer process...

And compromise privacy.

Which is why you don't want your messages stored on their servers.

I don't trust them now either. I'm pretty sure they can and are scanning and using Watsap chat data.

Anyone else's whatsapp the last few months is awful? crashing, freezing, delayed sending messages (not actually outgoing, but disappearing after one types, then reappearing anywhere from a few seconds to a few mins later)

Where do you get WhatsApp Business? How's it different than the regular version? Can you move the same account, without losing existing data, to WhatsApp Business?

It's the same with some additional perks.

1. You can have it on a tablet
2. You can put business info there
3 You can have auto greetings and responses
4 You can label messages with categories

And some other small stuff.

All your data would stay. But you will have duplicates folders. WhatsApp images/WhatsApp Business images. Your old files won't move

Can you switch to WhatsApp Business from regular WhatsApp when changing devices, in order to avoid the problem of duplicate folders (and wasted space)? IOW, backup WA and then install WAB on a new advice and use your backup.

Come to think of it, shouldn't you be able to do that even on the same device? Backup WA. Complete uninstall WA. Install WAB. Restore backup.

Is there any reason not to use WAB? If there's no downsides and only upsides, why doesn't everyone use it? (At least for new setups.)

You should be able to. But I wouldn't do it... When doing a WA restore all the photos come in as the restore date....and it drives me crazy.
