WhatsApp is stopping support for all Symbian, Nokia S40, BlackBerry phones. Phones running older versions of Windows, Android and iOS operating systems will also not be supported.

Android users still on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 are no longer be able to use WhatsApp.

Windows phone users will have to upgrade beyond Windows Phone 7.1 to continue enjoying services. iOS 6 are not be supported, which  affects those Apple users who are holding back from updating the OS.

UPDATE: You won't be able to use WhatsApp on the following platforms for:

Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017
BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 after December 31, 2017
Windows Phone 8.0 and older after December 31, 2017
Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018
Android versions 2.3.7 and older after February 1, 2020

IIRC I did, I don't remember why I deleted it, but I usualy delete an app b/c there's something I dont like about it...

Anyone knows how to delete a contact? Contact is already deleted from my phone but find an option to delete it from Whatsapp.

It should be deleted from watsapp automatically...
Maybe try reset your contacts and also delete the chat you had with that contact.

Never chatted with them as it's a number that belonged to someone I knew and now it seems to belong to a new, unknown person. Hence why I want to delete it.

On iPhone:

Go to favorites tab, scroll up to the top and pull down
This will refresh the contacts
Alternatively, completely close the app and then reopen it
This should also refresh the contacts

I don't see a "refresh" button or "Favorites" tab anywhere.
I'm on Android.
In any case the contact somehow disappeared overnight after having deleted it from my phone's contacts.
