Thanks but for $65 there's already this one with coupon code 16570 and it's 3.0 as opposed to the one you linked which is only 2.0

It's between WD and Seagate. I think I've seen better luck with Seagate, but wait for DH's reply..

They are all pretty much the same. I'm not a fan of any of these drives - they fail much faster than regular drives. I would probably take the seagate or toshiba or the cheapest.

Fail due to heavy usage or even without using it so heavily?
I mainly want it to back up music and photos from time to time.

very high failure rate due to firmware issues especially in the western digital drives. The big issue is the USB onboard connectors but almost all USB 3.0 drives are built that way unfortunately
