Make a long story short I made a few deposits in a chase atm at night and with one of my deposits I put in around $50-$70 and them machine went ahead and ate my money and said there's a technical error and please call the back of your card or the branch, and after that the machine just turned off on me and showed windows 7 powering down. (first time seeing that.)
So I went ahead and call the claims department and had a case made and they said Within 24 hours you should receive a temporary credit of $70 and we will process the claim with more details and add or subtract what ever is needed.
But the story went a different way, instead of getting any cash, I received an email that your claim was successful and a temporary credit of $70 will be added to your account, but that never happened instead around 6 days later a debit appeared in my account, and now today around 10 days later I was curios to see the $70 which was credited and all I see is a debit of $70 so now I'm down $140.
So I went and called back the claims dept and asked what's happening here I'm suppose to get a credit of $70 not a debit, so after 25min of being on hold she got back to me saying it can take up to 30 to process this claim, but in this case I went ahead and pushed it to be only 1-5 days as it's a mistake on our end.
Am I suppose to wait out the 1-5 business days or is it normal to have to wait 5 days for them to return the stolen money?
Any thoughts on what to do?
