closing starwood amex
« on: May 19, 2011, 01:15:49 PM »
I just got billed the $65 annual fee for the starwood amex and am thinking of closing it.  have so many amex cards, it doesn't seem to make sense to keep it open.

Will amex transfer my starwood credit amount on to another amex card, e.g. my gold?  if yes, does it require a credit check?

i've taken a beating recently (almost 80 points) on my FICO score because of Amex and need to stop that.

the gold card is a charge card so you cant transfer credit amounts to it.
