Getting more landing slots at JFK will be tough. Until the new LGA is ready that is. Also, DL might assert influence to block it.
they already have five JFK slots which they only use now in peak season on motzei shabbos so slots won't be an issue for them

Did you read Lucky's original post? He is explaining in length what I said here.

Basically airlines for that reason never sell you a ticket based on what kind of seats they will give you but rather by fare classes and for that reason. Now if J class will sell out quickly on the 787 flights and the price will  be high because only Z class is available, that is a different story.

Sounds like they won't have wifi before some time in 2018.

"High-speed internet by ViaSat will be launched in 2018 on the Dreamliner aircraft fleet, El Al said"

Their mentality/DNA can never cease to amaze me. Always playing catch-up (at best) rather than being an innovator and ahead of the curve, and they actually excuse it with "we have the best security", patriotism, etc. etc.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Substitute country for airline

Delivery is always flown by carrier, paid by carrier (fuel) etc.

Prior to accepting an aircraft, there are some test flights, known as B1/B2 and C1/C2. The B's are paid by Boeing and C by the carrier

They are now flying now Flight 1*789* non-stop t TLV, when they took delivery of a 737 they flew with a stop (overnight) at JFK and CDG for "security" reason whereas other carriers do the stop up north in Canada

That's SOP for LY, presumably for security reasons. They always bluff with ETA and actual arrivals.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Inaugural flight to EWR was moved up from October 29 to October 17 (Mon night after Succos).
Anyone here booked for Succos that will be giving the first TR?
I am scheduled to fly on it from LHR to TLV on Oct 24 - and yet as you point out it's also scheduled on the EWR route..

Does that mean they will have received a second one by then or they haven't yet decided when to stop flying to LHR?
