Yes QF is only transferable from TY points.

Same story as in their 769 - they often offered me to downgrade in exchange for a round trip in J. I've never accepted and doubt anyone does.

JFK service starting Jun 29. Departing TLV 10:40am flight returning 6pm from JFK. Second JFK flight (4pm from TLV) switches over to 787-9 Sep 16.
As of now, LY 1 will be the last NYC flight to switch over (so far not on schedule for the upcoming 12 months)

Why not?
Sounds like a square deal to me, especially if you get seated in Y+ or exit.
