Interesting.I've heard from several readers who thought that LY 787 Y was is a torture chamber.
787 Y is much narrower than 772 Y
Was on AC 787 Y and was terribleSomehow the LY 787 doesn't feel narrow. I'm thinking that maybe the seat pitch and legroom is better on LY 787 and that is why it is so much more comfortable than LY 777Maybe they took some aisle space.. don't know. Where can we see seat width on the LY 787? Seat guru is not out yet
Right, but this is relative to the 77W. Can make a difference for someone who needs the night flights.
Flew both. LY 787 is a real winner, even in YLegroom is decent, pitch is amazing (bottom part of seat moves along) & seat itself is very comfortable fabric. Similar to UA reg old 777 but newerIf I need to choose regular economy to Israel (without upgrading to econ plus) the LY 787 would be my first choice
See attached both mapsThey are almost the same, I believe that LY feels more cramped because the Jet is narrower.UA:Width 17.05" (43.3 cm)Pitch 31" (78 cm)LY:Width 17"Pitch 31"
787 Y on AC was pretty bad too. Fortunately, my company has agreed to pay for PE going forward
Except we were asking about the best Y seat from EWR
I have a hard time believing best Y seat from EWR isn't the UA 772.
The flip side to seat recline is the person in front of you reclining.Though less chance of your laptop being crushed if there's no WiFi
You are an official expert in flipping every positive thing about LY into a negative. Wow!
I don't like to bash Dan - but he clearly has a bias against LY. I never heard a word of him bashing BA J among some others (SA etc.) class which is more or less like LY J. Even LH J class is nothing to write home about in some planes...Dan, I'm am big fan of yours- I'm just being honest
There's no need for Dan to write a post about BA and LH not having great J products, that's well known.
So why is LY different? It's also well known.
