On a related note, I would appreciate some input on how this generally works. When and how do I pay someone for the free night? How would I generally assure myself that the seller is genuine?

If I buy the wyndham points now and dont end up using them (I am going in Feb but may be able to get a free apartment, if not then i want to stay at the Tryp), is there a market to sell to other people? I know this is a thread on "free nights" but that sounds more like an anniversary night type thing. Can i do the same with points?

Do you mean seven 30k awards for $240 total or $240 for each 30k award?
