Colognes used to be made with a grain alcohol base, so that is chometz gamur.  That was in the olden days.  Today even high class products are usually made with synthetic alcohol. Those whose contents are known are on kosher l'Pesach lists.

I don't have personal experience, but that's usually what happens to such products.

That was back in the good old days.  Synthetic alcohol is typically used in the production of even high-end items nowadays. Products with known ingredients are included on kosher l'Pesach lists.

I just learned this in rabbi ribiats pesach book today

If it includes fermentation ethanol this can possibly be chometz so the product needs a kosher for pesach sign. Check ingredients for:
Ethanol
Ethyl alcohol
SD alcohol
SDA 18


If they have synthetic alcohol this is not a problem of chometz.
Examples are:
Ethylene
Ethylene Glycol
Ethylamines
Ethyl Acrylate

I found the ingredients it just says alcohol.
I guess I'll wait to see what the book Says.

Thank you for checking. The one that you checked that is accepted is one of the only perfumes made by dior that is alcohol free.

Seems the one that I have has real alcohol and cannot be used.

I once heard that most perfumes/colognes that are made in the USA are made with artificial alcohol.
Mine is made in france.
