This is what I find with Google. Is this what's best now?
What comes "recommended by Dan"?
I'm looking for something that gets me the most space inside and that will fit one of those hard hat-boxes.

i love my Kirkland discontinued hardside back soft side front spinner. The agent saw it and said sorry that's for sure oversized she dropped it in the sizer and it glided in perfectly. No stuffing required.

Has anyone used the Travelpro Platinum Elite? It seems to be consistently rated online as the best soft-sided carry-on.

I can get it for $277, which makes it more palatable... any thoughts?

What you can do to avoid an overweight carry on is to just leave it with someone that's with you at the airport, (or find a Yid and ask them for a favor) and they stay behind, and then they don't see you have a carry on. It worked for me before!

PSA: Do NOT try this at Ben Gurion.

+1.
Alternatively, hide it close to the desk so the check-in agent doesn't see it.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Once I was at JFK I believe it was and they did weigh the carry on, and the lady there said it was overweight. So told her I'll take things out... She weighed it again afterwards, and it was fine. I move away from the counter, and put my things straight back into my carry on.... (Another approach)

Reminds me of when I had a carry-on that I was using this method for.

The check-in agent assumed I was going to Israel, and when they realized I wasn't, they were super embarrassed.

So when they stepped around to look and  specifically asked for me to put the carry-on on the scale, they waved it through.

You can leave it with someone else, or within visual contact, and say: no hand luggage.

Why stuff like this isnt gneiva and/or sheker, I have no idea.
