If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

That's major news.

I would guess they are retiring a color that the average male cannot name (men's color palettes have fewer names than women palettes) or white.

I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

"white" is going to be replaced by "privilege"

This is #FAKENEWS. They've retired colors in the past.

Quote from: http://www.crayola.com/faq/another-topic/what-are-the-names-of-the-retired-crayon-colors/
What are the names of the retired crayon colors?
1990 - For the first time in Crayola history eight colors were retired. Maize, lemon yellow, blue gray, raw umber, green blue, orange red, orange yellow, and violet blue and placed in the Crayola Hall of Fame. Eight new colors were added. They were vivid tangerine, jungle green, cerulean, fuchsia, dandelion, teal blue, royal purple, and wild strawberry.

2003 - As part of our centennial celebration, the colors blizzard blue, magic mint, mulberry, and teal blue were retired. Four new colors were introduced for the next century: inchworm, mango tango, wild blue yonder, and jazzberry jam; Consumers voted to "Save the Shade" and saved burnt sienna from retirement.

On March 31, 2017 in celebration of National Crayon Day, Crayola will announce they are retiring another crayon color! Visit http://www.crayola.com/nationalcrayonday

We currently manufacture 120 different Crayola Crayon colors, not including specialty colors. To see the colors, please visit http://www.crayola.com/explore-colors.aspx .

The headline is a bit misleading, it isn't the first time they're retiring a color, it is the first time a color from the classic 24 pack will be retired though

True. But the 24 pack has only been around for 18 years, since 1999.

I mean, cant the reporters even check wikipedia before putting out a news story?!

Headline in OP's link is false, as well as the opening sentence, since they haven't even had a 24 box for even 20 yrs.

HOUSTON, Texas -- Crayola is about to do something it has never done in its 100-year history.

On Friday, the crayon company said it's retiring a color from its classic 24-count box.

It never said it was around for 20 years. If I say this is the first time in 1000 years a color has been retired from the 24 box is that false?
"LESS IS MORE" It is the cumulative effect that kills deals!!! How many times do I have to say this?  >:(

False - no. Misleading - I'll let you be the judge.

I feel vindicated. It's a color with a name females would use. We men just call it yellow. :)
