Consumer Reports gives the Altima the best rating. What do the Frum Consumer say?

I wouldn't buy the 2011 (last year of the infamous toyota problems, it will have a very low resale value for a toyota) or 2012 Camry (first year of a redesign is also not generally a good idea-by the 2nd year they get the kinks worked out).

Accord and Altima are both scheduled for a 2013 redesign.

I had the 2007 Accord SE and the 2009 Accord V6, and I loved both of them. I think the V4 may be a little weak, but the V6 is definitely the most powerful of the bunch. In addition, the Accord is the biggest of them all, and that is why I chose it over the Nissan Maxima.

The Maxima would have cost a considerable amount more than the Accord, you sure the size was all that made you choose one over the other?

I got the Accord V6 with leather for two years. I was paying $370/month. The Maxima would have been about $350 for the entry level, so yes that was the main reason I got the Honda, and because the Maxima suggests premium fuel

I had an 07 Camry and moved into a Venza when my lease expired last June.  I like the car a lot and it has much more room than a sedan.

That would be the Sonata.  Seems like a very solid choice IMHO.

The sonata is a better and more comfortable ride than any of those 3 imo. If you are adamant about japanese cars, I rank the accord last as it has the least power (even the v6) and the least smooth ride, followed by the camry/altima which i think just depends on preference (camry is slightly more boring aka "old person car" but it will last forever) and the altima is a baby maxima. good and if you get all the options v6/leather its basically a maxima. I would choose the sonata over those 3. Take it for a test drive and see for yourself.

I'm sorry but I rented a brand new 2011 sonata and it drove like a grand prix. The only cool thing about it is the plastic on the outside:-)

. Did anybody hear that the accord v6 have transmission problems after 70-80k? A dealer was telling me that since the engine is too powerful for the car it ruins the transmission...

You realize you quoted a post from over 2 years ago?

Maybe, but the waiver has certainly been available. My last 2 leases from Honda have had the waiver. However, I did hear that they subsequently stopped the waiver (last lease may 2013), but have not confirmed personally.

Definitely was available in August
