Could it be Dan isn't posting his opinion on this due to his preference of United over other domestic airlines?

@APBusiness: Delta is authorizing employees to offer up to nearly $10,000 to passengers giving up a seat on overbooked flights

Noone is going to allow themselves to get bumped if they now know how much it can rain...

Found this to be an interesting read...
---First thing that jumps out is this:
"Knowing what I know about airport security, I’m certainly not going to run back into a secured, federally restricted area at an airport flailing my arms and screaming like a banshee…because, you know, that just happens to be breaking a major federal Homeland Security law.

But that’s just me. Obviously."

The poor guy had a concussion, was he supposed to be thinking straight?!

--- She compares this to our story:
"I mean, come on, I once actually had to remove my infant son’s socks because they mimicked little baby sneakers. These guys mean business.

I didn’t like it. I thought it was just plain stupid, honestly. But instead of pitching a massive fit, refusing to comply, and bolting through the TSA checkpoint like an out-of-control toddler, I did the big girl thing–sucked it up, removed the offensive socks, and went on with my happy life, sans being tackled and dragged through the airport in handcuffs by a bunch of big men with guns"

I'm not who you think I am.

I thought her whole approach to the situation was stupid and one sided.

I agree that some of it was, but definitely not all. She did have some good points. And she raised a point nobody really has talked about, which is the fact that he ditched law enforcement to re-enter the plane...

True but is he had a concussion I don't really think he's to blame for that.

She wasn't talking about the circumstances, she was trying to make a point that not everything they tell you seems to make sense, but that's not a reason to disobey.

Was he officially diagnosed with that? I was not aware. His lawyer can play that in court if need be I guess.

I'm not sure I was just saying that assuming he was, then that's probably a valid argument.
