i heard something about buying a $400 dollar coin from the mint that has a value of 450 only one per person does anyone know anything about this or have any info (more specific)?

It's prob a big pure silver coin. Resale in a pawn shop is prob not that much. But if it's pure silver. Maybe a good investment.

I saw it on the gov mint site, i think a silver bar is a better deal, no gov markup, and you pay spot..

A lot of coin collecting companies will buy these coins off of you for $20-$30 (sometimes more, depending on the coin) more then what you paid for it, being that they have clients that will pay more for it, and the company cannot buy a large qty for themselves to sell. (so they pay you to get it for them)
