I just want to know why they don't just wait ~25 hours to avoid the shtick that was done. What's the benefit of waiting 30 days specifically?

I'm grandfathered into the 50% rebate but I've never actually made such a booking. I tried making a first class LAX-HNL booking today on various airlines (including selected airline) and nowhere on the flight selection does it indicate that it's eligible for the 50% (or even 35%) rebate. I noticed on SOME blogger posts in the past, the flight selection screen indicates the flights are eligible for the 50% airline bonus rebate. Those were all from pre-devaluation. Are you guys getting any indication that flights are eligible for the rebate? Or do you just trust that all premium cabin sets will get it?
