Wanted to book something this Friday and it wasn't showing online (+ I really wanted to issue the ticket on own own - but honestly it wasn't showing online). Call Plat Travel and they told me $39 phone fee - they transferred me to web support, web support wasn't able to assist, back to plat and they told me they will waive the fee. Plat told me that once he takes the points I won't be able to cancel the ticket (even within 24) so he said he will issue the ticket and I can call Monday MR to manually apply the points.
So I called MR directly and said I'm having trouble booking online, so she said doing it over the phone, I said they aren't willing to waive the phone fee, and Im being tossed from online support to phone, can you auth that I can book on my own? NO - we don't allow
Called back 5 min later and the agent said right away we will make an exception, and even read to me the rules, that I need to call within 48 hours to apply etc. So I right away issued my own ticket and call plat service to void theirs....
Called Sunday to apply points and refund, they said it needs to post, I said you said within 48 - they said 48 once it posts
Called back Monday, agent right away checked and said she will process the points and do the refund, I asked regarding my refund, so she said she will do right away less 35, I said its my last day for 50 - placed on hold and came back that she took out full points and right away refunded 50%..
RIP 50%
