Amex waiting 6-10 weeks to issue 50% rebate on Business Platinum bookings!

What steps do I need to follow to double dip and get 5x via personal plat + 35% rebate via biz plat? Would this work?

1. Log into amex travel using my personal plat login
2. Make J booking
3. Select option at checkout to pay in full with points

Or do I

1. Start the process with my biz plat login
2. select the option to pay with cc
3. use personal plat for payment
4. call Amex Travel to have them process payment with points instead

So, to confirm
If i select pay with points using my PP and BP which is on account is selected that airline, I will automatically get the 35% points (plus the times 5)
And how long will it take?
Until now I have been paying with cash on BP and then calling up the next daY to apply the points and getting automatic 35% on the phone

Used this method on 1/3/19 (subsequently became aware that they killed 5x) for the Air New Zealand glitch. Still no sign of the 35% rebate.

You applied points after the purchase? They have to process it manually, but they usually will make you wait until the 6-8 week timeframe has passed until they would do it themselves. IME.

I just waited 45 days on 2 business class tickets when i called in they told that for some reason it wasn't credited and they had to do manually

From feb 3rd Is it 31, 32 days? Not sure might be 31 so figured would give a day or two..

If ur not desperate for the points and u dont have patients chatting or calling... i have had to do it manually a few times.

Waiting about 5 weeks now, no rebate yet.
I did get though 5X TLS on day 31, go figure.
(Was not booked in conjunction with a personal plat.)
