Questions about CO presidents club one day pass

I'm thinking that since i have lots of miles with CO (thanks ddf!) and soon my plat card won't get me into the lounges  :-[, i think I'm gonna get some one-day passes for 2500 saphire points. Is that a good idea? Also with the one day passes can i use them in the red carpet club lounges? (in ORD the presidents club is now UA red carpet club)
Additionally, can i bring a guest with me with me if i have a one day pass?

you can often buy them for 20-30 dollars off someone who got it from co mc.

interesting, or maybe i'll get another plat card and use my $200 airline towards lounge passes? is that smart?

aren't they like $45 each? you can find better deals than that (possibly even ebay, there used to be someone who would auction them off all the time, you could sometimes get them for like 20 bucks). I actually have 2 right now, though I'm not sure that I want to sell them.

CO passes are good in CO and UA clubs.
No guests with passes though.
