Typo in name booked with priceline- not changing need help!

In the past I've has an issue where no one wanted to change fist name typo, I then called in to add my frequent flyer number ( without mentioning the name error) they told me the names dont match exactly,  so they updated the ticket to match frequent flyer.

IATA only allows three letters to be changed in the instance of a spelling mistake.

Someone I know had an issue getting through with Moishe instead of Moshe in LHR. He ended up missing his flight and getting rebooked on the next available flight.

i think ba in lhr are big sticklers for these types of mistakes i have a friend who's passport said yisrael and his ticket was for israel and no-one cared on the outbound but while connecting in lhr on the return some shuck made him issues and ba forced him to buy a new ticket

Uhm, that's a completely different name. That's not the agents fault, it's pax fault.

one could argue a bad letter just got stuck there, no different then Sarah/Sara with the same last name and same dob.
