Not all people are the same.

I have two sons who went to Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel. I sent each on of them alone the first time they went. Totally different experience, totally different attitudes.

I just dropped off my son at JFK on AB flight (he likes that one because TXL is only 20-25 minutes from Chabad, where he can go to mikvah and daven), yet he still had my DW escort him up until security. My older son has gone through various airports alone, took public transportation, almost always made his connecting flight only at the last moment, and manages. Forgot to mention that the one son calls home a few times a day, other son we were at his mercy and were lucky if he called once a week to say good Shabbos.
21 is not a kid anymore, except in parts of our community where theyre not mature because everything is handed to them on a silver platter and their life is scripted. So a 21 year old boy GOING to EY is still unpolished as a human.

Your English writing is a lot more lucid than your Yiddish writing.  :D
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Delta proactively deposited 17000 points in the account with a nice apology email. Yesterday I refused a 100.00 check offer on the phone. Will accepting the points prevent me from pursuing other compensation?

As someone who freely traveled Italy during Bein HaZmanim, as well as long stop overs is Madrid, Barcelona, and Zurich, I'll say that most 21 year olds can manage on their own. That having been said, ending up somewhere with 0 prep time that doesn't speak English as a first language could be difficult, especially without a laptop or tablet. When I got rerouted unexpectedly through Frankfurt on my way back from Israel once, even though I had a few hours where I technically could have explored, I didn't want to do it without having looked into any info about the area, transportation etc.

I also sympathize with people that feel Paris is particularly dangerous for Jews (though I personally don't agree with that).

No. If you didn't sign anything, you don't lose rights.

I'd assume Israel is the best country to file with, and depending on circumstances, you might get the NIS 3000, though this sounds like a safety issue, so might not work.
