Car Rental in Seattle ?

I need a car in Seattle for three weeks from 6/22. I have been looking at Howire but their rates suddenly changed on me by about $200 for this time. I want a full size car (Or cheap enough a 4/WD SUV). What do you guys recommend?

I've been getting emails from thrifty with weekly rates for full size rentals that are valid nationwide.

Full Size for $180/week
SUV for $170/week

For SEA add ~$100/week for additional charges, taxes, etc.

In terms of hotwire, never go naked.  Always have a cancelable backup reservation to limit your exposure if rates skyrocket.  It doesn't cost you anything for the protection.  Currently this cancelable rate is cheaper (after fees and taxes) than hotwire for a full size or SUV rental in SEA for your dates.

Thanks. I did make a res for a suv. It is not a bad rate compared to the others out there. I did find using a hertz friends and family code & a location not at the airport a much better price but I don't know how that will pass when I show up... Have you any experience with that?
Also it seems like thrifty only has SEA location, were there an off airport location that might save a few hundred from this rate. To me it appears that they don't have, is this correct?

Not sure about other Thrifty locations.  Doesn't look like it.  I had a friend looking for a rental in SEA for 2 weeks in early July and prices were astronomical (even hotwire), so this was a great rate for him.
