THINGS TO DO IN OR AROUND VERMONT

Battenkill Valley Outdoors -  1414 State Rt 313 Cambridge, NY. 518-677-3311. Bike rentals. Can bike on back country roads nearby into Vt. They have one tandem bike. Call in advance to reserve it!
Mount Equinox – Skyline Drive, Manchester, VT. Also called Equinox Preservation Trust.
Hildene- Mansion and beautiful grounds (with a garden with a view of the mointains) of Robert Lincoln- abe's son and an original restored Pullman train car
Bromley Mountain – 3984 Vt. Rt. 11 Peru, VT. 802-824-5522 (fun park: zipline, chairlift, alpine slide & more)
Emerald Lake State Park – US 7 North Dorset, Dorset, VT. 802-409-7579
Stratton Mountain – 5 Village Lodge Rd. Stratton Mountain. 802-448-8528

Follow Molly Stark Trail that begins in Bennington, VT. Scenic drive. Along the trail, there are a few things that we can do:
Hogback Mountain
Woodford State Park (boating on adams reservoir and a nice hike near it)

Things to do in Killington, VT
K1 Express Gondola – Killington Rd
Thundering Falls Trail – can bring a stroller to this simple scenic walk to a beautiful waterfall
Killington Pico Adventure Center – 4763 Killington Rd. 800-734-9435. Think the gondola is included in this program. Mountain coaster, alpine slides, zip line, etc.

please add your own ideas

Headed to Vermont for the weekend, iy"h!

Never skiied, but I'd like to try it out.

Aside from the items you can rent- what winter/outerwear gear is a must?

Will I freeze without proper snow pants?
Snow pants, thick socks, gloves, goggles, hat (unless you rent a helmet). If it's very cold I'd recommend long johns and a ski mask
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

goggles can't be rented together with skis?

if u don't have points u are pretty stuck. Living social had a special on the adjacent townhouse on property a lil while back but that is prob dead. Search equinox tow homes deal and see if groupon/travelzoo or someone else has a deal still available, usually about 200 a night for a suite (note that isn't SPg and u don't get SPg points or perks).

We stayed at the condos.
They rent it out for the summer, so mostly jewish.
Minyanim e.t.c.
They have a guy that gives details where to go on trips...
They sell some kosher food in the office.
2 private pools.
Though the ladies must drive to the Inn area to swim.
It's a nature and skiing area much like New Hampshire. Beutiful. We took a nature walk every day.

Shelburne Museum is very cool and interesting, and only about 15-20 minutes away. You can also take a ferry across the lake (it can take cars) to the NY side and go to Ausuable Chasm or Lake Placid area. Mt. Mansfield (road or tram to top of Vermont's tallest mountain), Stowe (gorgeous hiking and biking), and Ben and Jerry's tour are pretty close as well.

I am trying to get information about Vermont menucha. I am trying to call them up but no one picks up or calls back. I left numerous messages there. Is it a legit place? how are the accomodations (condos as well as the Inn & suits). I am new to DansDeals so I am a bit clumsy in using this but I need help on this topic.   thanks a bunch
