It does appear that Saver availability has improved for flights 6 months out as far as I could tell. However, this move by AA has made me stop collecting their miles and stop flying their airline.

I have about 200K miles and used to fly AA exclusively for my business travel (mostly within the US). I have Platinum status and still won't fly them. Instead, I started flying United and love it. Much better policies than AA as far as their mileage program goes.

It's sad to see how the number crunchers fail to see the impact of their cuts on customer loyalty...
