[Updated With More Changes] Major Changes Are Coming For American Express Benefits! Master Chart Of What’s Being Added And Removed - https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/major-changes-coming-american-express-benefits-master-chart-whats-added-removed/

$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

or
Return Protection:  www.americanexpress.com/return This is for when, in the first 3 months, the original seller won't accept a return, and the product is still in new condition.
Purchase Protection:  www.americanexpress.com/purchase This is for when, in the first 3 months, a purchase is lost, stolen, or broken.
Extended Warranty: www.americanexpress.com/warranty This covers only what the original warranty covers and extends it for up to 1 year.

Amex can approve RP claims even after the card is closed/cancelled, though YMMV.

Dunno about Apple, but 98% of new consumer electronics come with a 1 year warranty.  I'd be surprised if Apple products don't as well.

Can I return a item the store won't take due to the lack of the packing slip etc.? It is still within 60 days.

So I called them and they told me no. However they said that I can dispute the charge. When asked why would that make sense as this is a 100% legitimate charge, she said that they should accept it back with a packaging fee, and since their not willing to accept it back I can dispute it. Anyone with luck in this area?

Just tell Amex you want to file a return protection claim because the merchant won't take it back.

I humbly apologize.

Thank you!

But for the record:

1. I thought that would be stealing.

2. I also thought that this was a clueless rep and I did not want to wast time on something that doesn't work.

3. Not in the slightest way do I see this as spoiling anything for anybody.

Stealing to say the store won't take it back? Huh?

And filing a dispute wouldn't be "stealing" in your book?

AFIK, dispute is for a illegitimate charge. Disputing a legitimate charge is either stealing from the store or Amex.

In any event, I find it offending that to a person who had singed up at least 40 cards through your links, at times even when it required me to bend over backwards, and at sometimes even for a lose, you just lash out like that. Although this is through a computer and you don't even know who I am, it hurts just as much.

Perhaps I have made a mistake, I am only human and am no way near as experienced as you are in this game, but I still would like to be treated civilly.

You have treated me poorly, granted via computer, in the past and unfortunately for you I have a long memory...
I overstepped and quickly apologized for lashing out, I'm sorry that you didn't accept it, but such is life.  I make no claims to be an angel.
If I offend someone, that's just the impersonal nature of online forums, and dealing with thousands of mostly inane questions from faceless people every day.  Nobody is forced to stay and take abuse if they feel they don't deserve it.
