$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

Problem is that item is now in Israel.... Also I want the item just don't feel it was right to have to get another bill at delivery...

I haven't used over $1,000, so not sure.

Is that limit per card? Meaning if I have 2 Amex cards I could use RP for up to $100/ year? Also, would a claim that was started in 2014, but paid out in 2015 count towards the 2014 or the 2015 limit?

Does this mean it will only work with stores that have a return policy of less then 90 days? It sounds that way. Has anyone gotten their money back when returning within 90 days when the store policy was 90 days as well or when submitting a claim post 90 days?

That's been my assumption. When filing a claim they ask why won't merchant take it back.

DVD/CD rom drive on new laptop isn't working. Bought on my SPG. Applied for purchase protection. Just received reply from Amex that they won't cover it.
