I feel you. I hate how PayPal doesn't allow to use a card when you have a balance (unless you transfer to a bank account first) and how they always default your payment to pull from your bank account unless you are alert and change it each time.

PayPal really sucks.

the date you tried to return it or the date it got lost/stolen/broken

Data point: 2 clothing items totaling $320 they didn't have me return the items.

Also OT but I had to file a return protection claim with visa and it's a real pita! Makes me appreciate Amex!

filled a claim for a $140 item that $110 of the item was paid with my amex card claim was denied claiming that the whole purchase needs to be with the amex card
anything i can do ? or nada

American Express may refund the full purchase price if you purchased it entirely with your eligible American Express® Card.

Pretty clear to me.

No, because they can see on the itemized receipt that the entire amount wasn't paid with the amex card
