$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

I made that comment because I got a follow up phone call even when I filed the claim by phone. What he's trying to say is that if you file over the phone you'll avoid getting a follow-up call.

It's been a while since I visited this thread so forgive me if I'm out of the loop but I used to file a claim and they reimbursed me instantly or just asked for reciept. I recently filed 2 claims & both times they called the merchant & claimed the merchant will take back ( even though there were no tags & was told they wouldn't) second time they claimed even though the return frame lapsed but since at one point the merchant would of taken it back it isn't elgible

Is this the new game in town or am
I simply getting special treatment?

It may also depend on the number of RP claims you make with them. I make very few, and I have never had any issues. I am always refunded instantly, with one exception where all I had to do was send in the receipt. The last claim I filed was just last week - was credited within 48 hours.

Does it go according to account holder or cc, caus these were on brand new Amex cards..

Agreed, 2nd one makes no sense.

Also, I wonder if they only call for smaller stores vs national retailers, as I've had no issues returning Amazon that was past 30 days or Best Buy past 14, even though there's a pretty good chance both of those might take it back in the form of store credit.
